It Doesn't Have To Be
Like This

by David Icke

This book is out of print. Hidden Mysteries located a limited quantity, imported them, and made the few copies available in the US, perhaps for the 1st time.

This book lets you see the early 'grassroot movement' of the Green Party -- when the party goals were ideals for planet earth -- before the party became corrupted with non-green goals and agendas, corrupted with special interest groups, corrupted with the agenda of denying freedom to freedom loving people around the world, corrupted by lawyers, corrupted by money, corrupted with religion politics, corrupted with fascists, corrupted with a eye for tyrannical control of the people -- leaving it little more than just another political party whose goals are now only self-serving ---

These non-green goals and agendas are some of the reasons David Icke chose to leave the Green Party. Environmentalists, scientists, and earth loving volunteers were being replaced with attorneys, campaign specialists, propagandists, bankers, industrialists, and factions NOT looking to aid in 'greening' the planet. Industrial polluters became 'under the table' supporters, 'back room' infiltrators, and corrupters of the Green Party. Green party politicians began embracing the same system which allows the destruction of the planet by corporate interests. Green Party politics turned into freedom denying Green Party fascism.

David Icke, once one of the Green Party's most popular spokesmen for the green ideals, is now harassed unmercifully by the Green Party Organization of the Commonwealth. David Icke was a man who would not sacrifice his integrity, lose his vision of 'green' ideals, or give up his own spiritual quest for truth -- for a party that lost it's vision. His ideals and visions have not changed. The Party changed.

Hidden Mysteries

David Icke was a professional footballer until the age of 21, when rheumatoid arthritis ended his sports career. He worked in journalism and regional TV until 1980 when he became a network presenter in news and sports. An experienced environmental campaigner in his home area, the Isle of Wight, David Icke became a national speaker for the Green Party in 1988. Since that time David Icke became one of the most controversial speakers and authors in the world, knowing the people of our planet must not only know the truth, but have access to the truth. Author of six currently published books, David Icke's personal vision is to see the planet and it's people FREE.

Forward:

The man who has written this book is completely out of his mind. Quite bonkers.

Do you know he actually believes that you can't go on taking more and more from the Earth every year and turning it into more and more pollution. What nonsense!

Of course you can. We've always done it haven't we?

He says that if you destroy the base on which all life depends then you naturally destroy all life in the process. If that were true it would be mentioned in our manifestos and company reports -- and it isn't, is it?

Honestly, who are these people? They say we can't have more growth on top of growth year after year or we will destroy ourselves. We think they must be a bit funny, you know. It's obvious what we need. More production means more money. Expansion, that's the only key to the good life.

So we advise you to read no further. The man is a dreamer. Thank goodness WE still live in the real world.

The author would like to thank... the global industrial system for their help in compiling this Foreword.

Every 24 hours an area of tropical forest the size of the Isle of Wight is destroyed or degraded; deserts advance by a similar area; 200 million tonnes of top soil is lost through erosion, at least one species becomes extinct, and 100,000 people, nearly half of them children, die through hunger. Every day.

Earthrights

But...

When, from the depths of our hearts, we desire something more real than material power, the wave of destruction will recede. Thence peace will come, joy will come, light will come.

The Earth

If the Earth were only a few feet in diameter, floating a few feet above a field somewhere, people would come from everywhere to marvel at it.

People would walk around it, marveling at its big pools of water, its little pools and the water flowing between the pools. People would marvel at the bumps on it, and the holes in it, and they would marvel at the very think layer of gas surrounding it and the water suspended in the gas.

The people would marvel at all the creatures walking around the surface of the ball, and at the creatures in the water. The people would declare it sacred because it was the only one, and they would protect it so that it would not be hurt.

The ball would be the greatest wonder known, and the people would come to pray to it to be healed, to gain knowledge, to know beauty and to wonder how it could be.

People would love it and defend it with their lives, because they would somehow know that their live, their own roundness, could be nothing without it.

If the Earth were only a few feet in diameter.

David Icke.
