Credit Sales

If you use a credit card the bill will reflect the legal registered business name TGS and not the domain name (hiddenmysteries.com).

International customers' credit card sales in nations whose banking services do not offer AVS (address verification service) may be required by the credit card company in the US to furnish proof of address. This is designed to protect you from being defrauded by illegal use of your credit card number. You will have to show proof that the address you use on the sale is the same address registered to your credit card. The best forms are the portion of your credit card bill which shows your cc# with the address below and a government or bank ID card showing your name and address -- They are not interested in the rest of the bill or statement, and you should hide that portion. This can be faxed in when requested. At other times the issuing bank may be consulted or notified if any thing appears suspicious regarding a sale, which may be a fraudulent transaction against an innocent person's credit card.

Laws and treaties require the person to whom the card is registered to, while making a purchase on the internet, to be in physical possession of the card. CVV2# - (a three or four character number or the back of the credit card) -- is at the end of the credit card number on the back side of the credit card (in the signature line).

Some credit card banks in Texas or the United States, which handle international transactions, may require a faxed authorization, with a photo-copy of the front and back of your card, photocopy of the billing addres on one of your statements, and/or your signature. This is determined by experience and procedures in business dealings with your nation's credit card set-up. It is in NO way considered a blight on YOU or YOUR CREDIT. It is simply procedure to make sure you are not a victim of fraud, which persists in the internet world.

Shipping:

When we have shipped your products to the address you supplied, we have legally performed our obligation for the contract of sale. We will always bend over backward to try to get your product to you. If it is our mistake, obviously, there will be no other charge to you. If it was yours, we will need to charge the additional shipping to you. But we will always do everything we can to correct the situation, regardless of the origin of the mistake. Since the post office is a quasi-governmental department, it does not accept the liability 'free of charge,' and it is in your best interest that confirmed/recorded delivery or postal insurance services are applied. International and domestic insurance rates are inexpensive.

U.S. Shipping:

We do not 'sell' shipping and cannot be held responsible for delays that are not under our control. Allow up to 14 days for US Mail Priority shipping and up to 30 days for US Mail Media/4th class mail. NOTE: The US Postal Service's Priority Mail is no longer 'three day delivery' guaranteed. Shipments via US Post Office are not automatically insured and you must purchase that service separately.

We also utilize United Parcel Service, and recommend that you use this option when you need your merchandise by a certain date. Their ground service is guaranteed in 6 business days. All shipments via UPS are automatically insured.

International Shipping:

The best value for international shipping is via the Postal Services. International customers should allow up to 6 weeks to receive their orders, though our experience rate shows most international customers get their merchandise in about 2 weeks. The safest method for delivery is to have your merchandise sent to your post office box if you have one. Some countries, as Ireland, require the address to include your county.

There can be delays that are NOT within the control of TGS/HiddenMysteries or the US Post Office. Your nation's customs and import offices can cause your order to be delayed.

Import duties and taxes may also be due on your end and customs may hold your package until you pay the taxes. You should be aware of your own nation's laws and taxes on books and other products we ship to you. TGS/HiddenMysteries is not responsible or liable for these occurances. There is nothing we can do regarding your nation assessing a duty, General Services Tax, or other related taxes. Usually these are nominal tax rates, but some nations can be above the normal. IT is up to you to know whether such taxes apply to you and/or your purchase.

We hold 'returned' packages waiting for your instructions. International 'returned' packages are usually due to incomplete or faulty addressing for your country and locale. Sometimes a package has been returned because your post office has either failed to notify you of its arrival or you failed to pick it up in a timely manner.

Returns

There is a 15% restocking charge on all 'authorized' returns, except in the case of manufacturers' quality problems. All returns must be 'authorized' by us to be accepted for credit on your account or refund. In addition they must be 'received' back at our mailing address in 'new' & 'saleable' condition.

We cannot and do not accept returns based on the 'content' of a book, tape or other product. That is a matter between you and the author/publisher. As a retailer we have no control over the content within a book or product and accept no liability or responsibility for any content.

NOTICE:

TGS/HiddenMysteries liability regarding any order and shipment ends upon proof of shipment. We can provide you the tracking number and/or the Post Office declaration number after the allotted times posted above have past and your shipment is 'long' overdue.

We make every effort to get all orders packed securely and shipped to you in a timely manner. That is our promise to all or our clients and customers. Our responsibility ends upon proof of shipping and that is why we recommend the purchase of insurance when and where available.

Our Goal

We pride ourselves in carrying many Unique Items and Books which simply are not readily available in most stores. Our view is very unique... we believe in unrestricted freedom of press and speech -- to make this effective you must have the freedom to purchase, acquire and read the same. We do not censor or blacklist books, because 'someone else' thinks they are bad for you. This is a decision you have to make for yourself. Personally we find some of the material 'disagreeable' but there are still many facts to glean from those books. We do not endorse any religious point of view.

We love serving you and the public with resources that are sometimes 'very hard to find.'
