Though the topics and themes are much the same as American erotica, the British use of English adds a luster to the stories, missing from the vulgar used in America. Pedophilia - the sexual interest of an adult in a child, usually at the time of puberty and prior to full adolescence - appears to be a steadily increasing behavioristic phenomenon and for a variety of reasons. Essentially, the juvenile's acceptance of eroticism and the role of the submissive partner to the adult is based on instinctive trust of authority, which explains why we find so many examples of father and daughter, mother and son sexual relationships. The child, awakened to sensuality by the initiatory attention of the adult, is concerned with the mysterious and exciting new sensations which most often are the first such cogent awareness of sexuality which he or she experiences. The question of ethics or morality, of course, is rarely present in the juvenile's mind, since he or she is reasoning that if adult authority encourages such conduct, it must naturally be right.
Conversely, however, the powerful aftermath of guilt and subsequent repression will occur most usually with the adult partner-initiator, though at times it may be communicated by the adult to the child and cause long-lasting traumatic fear, guilt and shame. Thus we see that the psychic ramifications of pedophilia often create more complex situations than the initial erotic acts which begin and develop such relationships. Primarily. The tempting freshness and naivete of the juvenile is what most whets the erotic appetite of the adult. Also where the adult has experienced rejection within his or her own age group, there is motivation to effect a pedophilic relationship precisely because the adult is certain that there will be no such rejection from the trusting, curious, uninhibited juvenile.
These and other factors, as you will find in this book, go to make up the delicate complexity of pedophilic liaisons. We are not what the public invariably, calls the psychic bond between "child molester"; the psychic bond between adult and juvenile in pedophilia is rarely psychotic and obsession-driven; often if embodies great tenderness and a kind of protective sheltering, which is not without pathos for all concerned. Our purpose in this book is to clarify and enlighten, no to condemn.

Excerpt:
Paul Evans was sitting at his desk in his apartment thinking about work when he glanced out the window and first noticed the little girl by the swimming pool in the courtyard.
The computer program he was working on bad a bug somewhere in the feedback system, and his desk was strewn with papers, all but burying a compact desktop calculator. On a pedestal to his right stood an electric keyboard computer terminal, hooking him directly into a big computer at a research center a few miles away.
He carefully punched a complex formula into the calculator's memory storage, and then he found himself again staring out the window at the little girl by the pool. She was wearing a skimpy yellow bikini.
She looks a little young for you, Evans! Paul chided himself. Can't be more than twelve or thirteen!
But there was something about the slender child that held his attention and he watched her step out on the diving board. Honey blond hair swung straight almost to her round little ass. Her face was a delicate oval, her button nose still almost a little girl's. Her eyes were large and accented with long lashes, and Paul guessed they would be blue.
Paul thought her body was absolutely beautiful.
