From royal and suppressed archives comes proof of the descending heritage of Jesus in the West. In Bloodline of the Holy Grail Laurence Gardner casts penetrating new light upon the Grail Code of Service and the venerated feminine element, abandoned by the Church in order to forge a male dominated society.
This unique work offers revelatory insight concerning the descendant heirs of Jesus and his brother James while, in documenting a hidden legacy of the Messiah, it unveils hitherto guarded facts about characters such as Mary Magdalene and Joseph of Arimathea. Featuring all the charm and adventure of Arthurian romance, this worldwide bestseller has a cutting edge of political intrigue, which removes the contrived blanket of established dogma to reveal one of the greatest historical conspiracies ever told.
Did Jesus marry and have children? If so, what happened to his family? Are descendants of his still alive today?
Seventeen years ago the world-wide best-seller, The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail made a number of controversial speculations about a "Messianic lineage." Yet the authors could offer no real proof since their access to relevant source material was restricted. At last the truth can be told!
This extraordinary and controversial book, packed with intrigue, begins where others have ended. Sir Laurence Gardner has been granted privileged access to European Sovereign and Nobel archives, along with favored insight into chivalric and Church repositories. He proves for the first time that there is a royal heritage of the Messiah in the West, and documents the systematic and continuing suppression of records tracing the descendent of the sacred lineage by regimes down the centuries.
This unique book, lavishly illustrated in full-color throughout, gives detailed genealogical account of the authentic line of succession of the Blood Royal from the sons of Jesus and his brother James down to the present day.

Chapter One:
Origins of the Bloodline
Whom Does the Grail Serve?
Following the Jewish Revolt in Jerusalem during the 1st century AD, the Roman overlords were reputed to have destroyed all records concerning the Davidic legacy of Jesus the Messiah's family. The destruction was far from complete, however, and relevant documents were retained by Jesus's heirs, who brought the Messianic heritage from the Near East to the West. As confirmed by the Ecclesiastical History of Eusebius, the 4th-century Bishop of Caesarea, these heirs were called the Desposyni (ancient Greek for 'of the Master'), a hallowed style reserved exclusively for those in the same family descent as Jesus. Theirs was the sacred legacy of the Royal House of Judah - a dynastic bloodline that lives on today.
During the course of the book, we shall study the compelling story of this sovereign lineage by unfolding a detailed genealogical account of the Messianic Blood Royal (the Sangreal) in direct descent from Jesus and his brother James. However, in order to cover this ground, it will first be necessary to consider the Old and New Testament Bible stories from a different perspective to that normally conveyed. This will not be a rewriting of history, but a reshaping of familiar accounts - bringing history back to its original base, rather than perpetuating the myths of strategic restyling by those with otherwise vested interests.
