A quick study into the life of one of the early Christian fathers and his influence on the religion, and his attempt to harmonize the Gospels.
ET no man venture to read this little book who is unable to shake himself free for a time, from those inherited and acquired conceptions of Christ as a divine Being of more than human perfection which have become woven into the very texture of every devout Christian's thought and faith.
We hear from ignorant clergy, peddling their ignorance and thier mythologies, about our Famous CHRISTIAN Founding Fathers. Thomas Jefferson is one that is always included in their rhetoric of lies and ignorance. TGS brings you this compilation of Jefferson's philosophies and his 'named by ignorance' the Jefferson Bible. The text of the diamonds is presented twice, once in a scripted font and once in a plain easier to read font.
Magic appears to have had its origin on the plains of Assyria, and the worship of the stars was the creed of those pastoral tribes who, pouring down from the mountains of Kurdistan into the wide level where Babylon afterwards raised its thousand towers, founded the sacerdotal race of the Chasdim or Chaldeans.
A little while ago I delivered a lecture on "Superstition," in which, among other things, I said that the Christian world could not deny the existence of the Devil; that the Devil was really the keystone of the arch, and that to take him away was to destroy the entire system.
THE term Modern Satanism is not intended to signify the development of some new aspect of old doctrine concerning demonology, or some new argument for the personification of the evil principle in universal nature. It is intended to signify the alleged revival, or, at least, the reappearance to some extent in public, of a cultus diabolicus, or formal religion of the devil, the existence of which, in the middle ages, is registered by the known facts of the Black Sabbath, a department, however, of historical research, to which full justice yet remains to be done. Large print 15 point font.
The Yezidis, frequently called "Devil-Worshippers," are a small and obscure religious sect, numbering about 20,000. They are scattered over a belt of territory three hundred miles wide, extending in length from the neighborhood of Aleppo in northern Syria to the Caucasus in southern Russia. The mass of them, however, are to be found in the mountains of northern and central Kurdistan and among the Sinjar Hills of Northern Mesopotamia.
Of all the myths which have come down to us from the East, and of all the creations of Western fancy and belief, the Personality of Evil has had the strongest attraction for the mind of man. The Devil is the greatest enigma that has ever confronted the human intelligence. So large a place has Satan taken in our imagination, and we might also say in our heart, that his expulsion therefrom, no matter what philosophy may teach us, must for ever remain an impossibility. As a character in imaginative literature Lucifer has not his equal in heaven above or on the earth beneath.
Our favorite mythological character, who just doesn't seem to go away through time. So a myth or not the Devil rules the Western world.
A previous attempt was made to describe to some extent the astral plane - the lower part of the vast unseen world in the midst of which we live and move unheeding. In this little book must be undertaken the still harder task of trying to give some idea of the stage next above that - the mental plane or the heaven-world, often spoken of in our Theosophical literature as that of Devachan or Sukhavati.
A massive volume of research on the soul's destiny! The present work is not only historic but it is also polemic; polemic, however, not in the spirit or interest of any party or conventicle, but in the spirit and interest of science and humanity.
Is the hollow earth Satan's domain and kingdom?
The three manuscripts which we possess of the ancient Maya peoples of Central America, the Dresden (Dr.), the Madrid (Tro.-Cort.) and the Paris (Per.) manuscripts, all contain a series of pictorial representations of human figures, which, beyond question, should be regarded as figures of gods.
To The Alleged Supernatural Evidences Of Christianity - There are some believers, who place little confidence in the evidence of the miracles said to have been performed by Jesus, who yet say that the establishment of such a religion as his, by such means as were employed after his death, is of itself a convincing miracle. They say it is incredible that the preachers of a religious system, the most prominent doctrine of which was the Son of God, its founder, was slain, should have met with such success, unless God had miraculously aided them.
The author investigates the deep and hidden mysteries of many religions, mysteries, sciences, and philosophies.
