Why exchange human intelligence for the ignorance of religious mythologies?

This was a tractlet written in 1849, warning the churches about the sins of the church going into business and fleecing the flock for money, at the disadvantage of main street businesses. Obviously this author was 100% correct, since the church is merely another corporation working the profit angles, instead of preaching the gospel.

The author investigates the difference of theory between religion and science. Perhaps they are one and the same story?

Lord Lytton is famous for his book "The Coming Race" that included his vision for an energy called 'VRIL power.' The Third Reich was evidently quite aware of Lytton's visions and theories, as they named some of their experimental craft "VRIL". Many other of Lord Lytton's books are merely dismissed as literature or fiction. Though written in fiction prose, his other mysteries and visions are recorded in his less known works.
