Why are prominent doctors and medical researchers all over the world interested in the extraordinary healings reported by the patients of Eric Pearl? What does it mean when these patients report the miraculous disappearance of afflictions such as cancers, AIDS-related diseases, and cerebal palsy? And what does it mean when people who interact with Eric Pearl report a sudden ability to access this healing energy not just for themselves, but for others, too? What is this phenomenon?
This sex advice manual, originally published in 1919 at the beginning of the sexual revolution of the 'Roaring Twenties', was considered quite 'ojectionable' by many 'authorities.' Today it would be considered rather tame, but it was a landmark book of it's era. Written from a Christian perspective, it contains timeless advice, applicable to most relationships today, inside or out of marriage regarding sexual habits. Dr. Long presented women and thier role in relationships in an enlightened point of view.

What does it take to get someone to pick up your book and want to read it? This is a very good question for a first time author to ask. So I jumped in and decided that it would probably be a "catchy" title
There is no doubt that hypnotism is a very old subject, though the name was not invented till 1850. In it was wrapped up the "mysteries of Isis" in Egypt thousands of years ago, and probably it was one of the weapons, if not the chief instrument of operation, of the magi mentioned in the Bible and of the "wise men" of Babylon and Egypt. "Laying on of hands" must have been a form of mesmerism, and Greek oracles of Delphi and other places seem to have been delivered by priests or priestesses who went into trances of self-induced hypnotism.

THE object of the present monograph is to furnish some accurate information on the much-discussed question of the psychology of the sexes. The main part of it consists in the report of a series of experiments carried on in the psychological laboratory of the University of Chicago during the years 1898-99 and 1899-1900. To have an adequate setting, such a study should be prefaced by a review of the historical aspects of the problem, a critical summary of the large mass of argumentative literature on the subject, and a discussion of the facts of anatomy and physiology which are supposed to have a bearing on the psychology of sex. The mass of material to be dealt with is far too great, however, to be satisfactorily treated within the necessary limits of the present work. It has therefore been necessary to restrict this monograph to a report of the experimental work which forms the real contribution to the field, a review of previous experimental work bearing on the subject, and a brief discussion of the results.
