YOU who are skilled in Alchemy, and as many others as promise yourselves great riches or chiefly desire to make gold and silver, which Alchemy in different ways promises and teaches; equally, too, you who willingly undergo toil and vexations, and wish not to be freed from them, until you have attained your rewards, and the fulfilment of the promises made to you; experience teaches this every day, that out of thousands of you not even one accomplishes his desire. Is this a failure of Nature or of Art? I say, no; but it is rather the fault of fate, or of the unskilfulness of the operator.
The secret chamber is unrivalled even by the haunted house for the mystery and romance surrounding it. Volumes have been written about the haunted house, while the secret chamber has found but few exponents.
Swedenborg, a mystic Christian, views the religion of Christ with a more encompassing view of life and nature than fundamentalist illiteracy. His studies and views still confound scholars and theologians.
Are mediums frauds? The Bible didn't think so..... Read of the spirit manifestations of one of the 'valid' spiritualists of the early 1900s. A lot of 'food for thought' here.
Spiritism is not a 'new' cult, even King Saul of the Bible, called up the spirit of Samuel. Is the practice mere hallucination or real?

Khazaria was finally wiped out by the forces of Genghis Khan, but evidence indicates that the Khazars themselves migrated to Poland and formed the cradle of Western Jewry
The hidden traditions must have been successful, for every modern generation has its adherents searching for them. Lost in time, as the philosophers stone.
This book had its origin on this wise. In my Irish Witchcraft and Demonology, published in October 1913, I inserted a couple of famous 17th century ghost stories which described how lawsuits were set on foot at the instigation of most importunate spirits. It then occurred to me that as far as I knew there was no such thing in existence as a book of Irish ghost stories. Books on Irish fairy and folk-lore there were in abundance-some of which could easily be spared-but there was no book of ghosts. And so I determined to supply this sad omission.
Freemasonry and theosophy traced back into ancient India's esoteric traditions.
Was Masonry originally searching for the 'light' of truth? This author, a medical doctor, explores the reasons for the existence of Freemasonry.
The Great Flood holds mankind's awe at the sheer devastation that a flood could bring on civilization. Here's yet another version found in libraries, once buried, now recovered.
We are not solely material, but partly physical and partly superphysical, I maintain that consciousness is never wholly lost; that even in swoons and dreams, when all sensations would seem to be swallowed up in the blackness of darkness, there is SOME consciousness left-the consciousness of existence, of impression.
