More than a decade ago I became convinced that the key-note of twentieth-century world-politics would be the relations between the primary races of mankind. Momentous modifications of existing race-relations were evidently impending, and nothing could be more vital to the course of human evolution than the character of these modifications, since upon the quality of human life all else depends.
Patriots and governments of the Western world claim their foundations in Roman Civil Law. Find out exactly what some of those 'Roman' laws were and how they were applied. The legal history of Rome begins properly with the Twelve Tables. It is strictly the first and the only Roman code, collecting the earliest known laws of the Roman people and forming the foundation of the whole fabric of Roman Law.

With the firm conviction that the Pyramids of Egypt were built and employed, among other purposes, for one special, main, and important purpose of the greatest utility and convenience, I find it necessary before I can establish the theory I advance, to endeavor to determine the proportions and measures of one of the principal groups. I take that of Gïzeh as being the one affording most data, and as being probably one of the most important groups.

This book is a factual analysis of a crucial period in American history and the malicious methods which struck down the Great Emancipator. Nowhere else can be found, in one small volume, the
connected presentation of the story leading up to the death of President Abraham Lincoln and those responsible for bringing about his assassination.
This book had its origin on this wise. In my Irish Witchcraft and Demonology, published in October 1913, I inserted a couple of famous 17th century ghost stories which described how lawsuits were set on foot at the instigation of most importunate spirits. It then occurred to me that as far as I knew there was no such thing in existence as a book of Irish ghost stories. Books on Irish fairy and folk-lore there were in abundance-some of which could easily be spared-but there was no book of ghosts. And so I determined to supply this sad omission.
