Set in 1790 in the Dutch settlement of Tarrytown, New York, in a secluded glen called Sleepy Hollow. It tells the story of Ichabod Crane, a priggish schoolmaster from Connecticut, who competes with Abraham "Brom Bones" Van Brunt, the town rowdy, for the hand of 18-year-old Katrina Van Tassel, daughter of a wealthy farmer. . .
From the ever elusive and mystical Richard Shaver, we bring two of his stories in one volume. One never knows whether his stories are that of a madman or of a person specially selected by universal powers to relate other worldly messages to planet Earth. What to most of us appear to be science fiction writings, Shaver claims are very very real. Of course the world thought that Jules Vernes was merely a fiction writer, and it turned that his writings were prophetic.
A science fiction apocalyptic classic by Garrett P. Serviss. The end of New York City, and the civilized world by a great flood is the concern of the author and with today's global warming predictions, could it be -- once again -- a science fiction novel becomes a prophecy fulfilled? Could another flood, another Noah, another Ark be in mankind's future, as it was in his ancient past?

It's not a simple task to turn social and political theories into novels successfully, but Ayn Rand made it appear simple. This reprint is one of Rand's masterpieces. How does one classify such work? It's fiction, sure--but it's more than 'just' fiction. It's a dream, a vision, a goal for a better world.
Edgar Rice Burroughs, man of mystery, who created fiction to reveal his passion for the truth about lost civilizations, Atlantis, hollow earth, and more. Though most may not consider Tarzan stories as science fiction, this one truly is, since Burroughs plants the seeds of forgotten civilizations in the context of his novel.

This, in today's lingo, is the 'uncut' version of Jules Verne's masterpiece classic. The Chapter on Captain Nemo that was deleted in most printed copies of this book, by ignorant Christian censorship, is restored in this reprint.
If the following pages are ever to see the light of day it will be because they have been stolen from me. The delay that I exact before they shall be disclosed assures me of that.
