THIS book, which now leaves our hands, concentrates in a small compass -the results of very considerable labour, and the diligent study of very many books in languages living and dead. it purports to be a history (for the first time treated seriously in English) of the famous Order of the 'Rose-Cross', or of the 'Rosicrucians'.
Perhaps it was largely for my own satisfaction; in any case I did again go through the roughly million and a quarter words that were the records of Betty's work while here. Passages directed at her personally, and no one else, I red-penciled. Next I cut them out and pasted them seriatim. They totaled nearly two hundred thousand words. For the first time I read them consecutively; and realized that, even with no further arrangement, I had a NARRATIVE.
The great mystic Annie Besant teaches about man, his bodies, and his relation to the universe.
The form of his countenance is like that of a wild beast; his right eye like the star that rises in the morning, and the other without motion; his mouth one cubit; his teeth a span long; his fingers like scythes; the track of his feet of two spans; and in his face an inscription, Antichrist.' A reprint from the 1800s, this is a scanned text book. The authors use apocryphal books in their research to prove the validity of the Antichrist and disproving the Jesus mythology. Interesting read and research.
Lady Julian was a saint and prophetess in her lifetime. She was a hermit, but being a hermit at the church she was called an anchoress. She had herself walled up inside a small room in a church with only one small barred window to give messages to those that came to her. Here are two books from her sayings and writings.
Understanding the factual and mystical reasons the square and compass hold in Masonic culture and ritual from one of the great Masonic teachers and writers.
Incredible research - a must book for any student of astrology. This book includes the cunieform script and the translations.
By "Reincarnation" we mean the repeated incarnation, or embodiment in flesh, of the soul or immaterial part of man's nature. The term "Metempsychosis" is frequently employed in the same sense, the definition of the latter term being: "The passage of the soul, as an immortal essence, at the death of the body, into another living body."
A very good research based argument in favor of Reincarnation, and the author in his expertise brings forth many answers to other age old questions of man's spirit, consciousness, soul, afterlife, etc.
Ms. Besant teaches the Indian philosophy and Kabbalistic views of reincarnation.
BENEATH the broad tide of human history there flow the stealthy undercurrents of the secret societies, which frequently determine in the depths the changes that take place upon the surface. These societies have existed in all ages and among all nations, and tradition has invariably ascribed to them the possession of important knowledge in the religious scientific or political order according to the various character of their pretensions.
Ghosts have been with us forever.... yet still not fully explained..
An odd book on talismanic magic spells because it was published in the author's handwriting instead of type-setting, yet, it is still readable over a hundred years after the original printing. This small book is a treasure trove of information on cabbalistic magic.
Few books have aroused more controversy in recent years than Lobsang Rampa's THE THIRD EYE, and the other works which have come from his pen.
The reason is simple enough. When an Englishman claims that his body has been taken over by the spirit of a Tibetan Lama, he can reasonably expect mockery.
Although appearing in the full light of historical times, Pythagoras has come down to us as almost a legendary character. The main reason for this is the terrible persecution of which he was the victim in Sicily, and which cost so many of his followers their lives. Some were crushed to death beneath the ruins of their burning schools, others died of hunger in temples. The Master's memory and teaching were only perpetuated by such survivors as were able to escape into Greece.
